The company sends a town car to pick you up in the morning. Keep sharpening those skills and keep making lots of friends. However, competition is rougher on this floor. Your golf game needs to be good if you expect to close deals, so a little more work in the body department might not be a bad idea. There are a lot of executives under your command, so charisma and logic help in settling disputes and keeping the various teams running smoothly. Salary hops up, as you are now overseeing several franchise offices. Well-rounded skills and a good work attitude will help you stand out from the crowd and impress the higher ups. Problem is, the Executive level at your company is heavily populated. You have your own Junior Executive, and an actual office with a door that closes. Good relationships with people to whom you've proven your superior logic skill will definitely get you noticed. Now you have your own grunt to boot around, a personal cubicle, and a nice salary - but it's still a long walk down the hall to the washrooms. Meet your quotas (charisma can make a good sales pitch great) and make good contacts and you'll be ripe for a promotion to an office with wheels. Now THAT would make your boss notice you.īefore you move up in the company, you'll have to earn your dues putting in a long day on the road. If you work on your mechanical skill, you might be able to repair that infernal copy machine the next time it breaks. Longer hours, but an opportunity to work the phones, increase people skills, and keep the Boss happy. Out of the 20 career tracks in the base game, Livin' Large, and Unleashed, it offers more or less average pay at rank 1, is in a three-way tie (with Journalism and Paranormal) for fifth-highest pay at rank 10, and has the sixth-highest combined pay over all ten ranks ($5400), but is in a three-way tie for fifth-hardest to climb. At rank 10, its ratio of pay to friends required is pretty average ($1200/14 friends = 85.7), but lower than those of the career tracks with the most similar pay curves (Pro Athlete and Science). Requiring 14 friends to reach maximum rank, it was also tied with Entertainment for second-hardest career track to climb (behind Politics). Of the ten career tracks in the base game, Business had the third-lowest pay at rank 1 but the third-highest at rank 10, behind only Entertainment and Pro Athlete, and follows a similar pay curve to those two.
