Leads the development of a vendor management strategy to deliver sound, strategic sourcing methodology and practices that yields savings for the College and meets customer needs. *Oversees daily activities associated with IT procurement, including requests for proposals, cost and price analysis, procurement audits, and other contract administration activities in accordance with state and College guidelines.Įnsures appropriate knowledge of trends, pricing, vendors, and delivery conditions to anticipate availability of IT-related hardware, software, and materials to support the demands of the College.ĭevelops collaborative relationships with college departments in identifying requirements for purchasing of IT related equipment and software. *Oversees purchasing logs and records to ensure accuracy and follow through. *Monitors quality of goods by reviewing costs, schedules, timeliness of delivery, and conformance to specifications. *Develops procedures for maintaining accurate licenses for operating system and application software used by the College, including annual inventory compliance. *Researches industry best practices to ensure appropriate products and standards are implemented for maintaining, delivering, and tracking of software licenses for all educational and departmental needs. ![]() *Develops, evaluates, and negotiates Requests for Information (RFIs), RFQs, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for IT-related hardware and software. *Recruits, interviews, hires, trains, and directs the work of ITS procurement and inventory management staff. *Develops and socializes processes for the distribution and return of employee assigned devices, such as laptops, tablets, cellular phones, etc. *Researches and proposes strategies to reduce costs, improve supply logistics, and determine optimal inventory levels. *Establishes and maintains centralized end user device replacement lifecycles including desktops, laptops, tablets, audiovisual equipment, and mobile devices, such as cellular phones. *Develops appropriate processes for capturing and maintaining IT hardware inventory including servers, laptops, desktops, audiovisual, and related equipment using automated software tools including Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Microsoft Intune, Mobile Device Management (MDM), and other IT-specific inventory applications. *Determines appropriate IT hardware needs for classrooms, labs, faculty, and staff including the evaluation, selection, and procurement of new standard models. *Administers the sourcing and purchasing of IT hardware and software including servers, end user devices, computer labs, software, and related supplies for the College. *Acquires and maintains understanding of technology trends, market forces, cost trends and supplier technology road maps.
